Al-Fayoum is an experience for those wishing to see and experience Egypt beyond the Pyramids. It is quite a long drive to Al-Fayoum. On the way it is interesting to see miles of urban development where all the homes are the same. Very nice place in the middle of the desert, you can take a photo of Desert, waterfall and lake all combined in one photo.
We went on a day trip to see the whale skeleton but we couldnt see it because of safety issues. But the waterfalls are beautiful. We enjoyed swimming in magic lake, just bring in the desert, kayaking The site it self is well hidden in the dessert next to a lake.
But it seems site is not take care of at all and left on its own! Too many people enter into the water falls A waterfall in the desert..
